Students at Educational Risk

At South Coogee Primary School, we are committed to ensuring every student can access, participate in and engage with learning.

In line with Department of Education policy, schools identify, monitor and respond to the needs of students who may require additional support to achieve success at school.  Students may be identified as being at educational risk due to academic, social, emotional, wellbeing, attendance, health or other factors that impact their learning and participation.

Support may be provided through classroom adjustments, targeted interventions, small-group programs or documented planning. Where a documented plan is required, it is developed collaboratively with parents and carers, teachers, and, where appropriate, the student and other members of the support team.

Parents and carers are encouraged to discuss their child’s learning and progress with their child’s teacher at any time.  If you would like to arrange a meeting, please contact your child’s teacher.
