South Coogee is having a very busy time. Here are some of the things that are going on this week.
- ECE playground is finished and being used with more shade and with the logs and the yarning circle being brightened up.
- Paul Litherland has been speaking to our Senior students about cybersafety.
- We have had a wonderful lending library built and donated to the school. Jenny Aramini, one of our volunteer grandparents coordinated and contributed materials and Alan Salter worked at home with support of materials from the Cockburn Men’s shed. This will be decorated by our Art Assistants, put up in Bushlands and then be ready for bringing and borrowing books for parents and children so everyone has access to books for reading.
- Our bins for can collection have bright new stickers designed by children. Mrs Duce cut them out and pasted them.
- Today we have had the Communication Branch of the Department of Education out to make a video and take photos which will be shown to educators and schools across the state. Our Sustainability Program will be used to celebrate National Recycling Week. Our reputation is growing.
