Dear Parents and Caregivers
We are proud of our children at South Coogee. We were especially proud of our team of athletes at the Interschool Sports Carnival on Friday. Mr Gough has written a summary of the day. I know he was very pleased with all aspects, and it was noted at our School Board meeting that the children were competitive, but supportive of athletes from all schools. Their sportsmanship was exemplary. Their efforts in their events were highly commendable.
Thank you to those of you who are bringing joy to our teachers’ lives by using our “Catch you at your best” cards which are on the office front counter. It means a lot to them to know that parents appreciate the time and effort they take to give your child the best education they can.
If you are aware your child will NOT be attending South Coogee Primary School in 2018, please advise the school office as soon as possible to ensure we have up to date student numbers.
Thank you to our local newsagency, Beeliar Village Newspower for the donation of some lovely magazines. They will give our senior students some great material for research in the library.
The community support for our Fun Run has been tremendous. Approximately $3500 has been raised towards carpeting the undercover area. Thanks to Mrs Anderson for organising this and for the many hours she is spending making sure that students get their rewards. We wait patiently for the nesting season for our sparrows to finish before work to exclude them from nesting in that area continues.
